In preparation for the 50th anniversary of the Arlington, VA diocese, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge reached out to the African communities with the intention of adding an African saint to the cathedral.

As a result of several consultations, Saint Bhakita was selected. This project is to build a statue of Saint Bhakita and stained glass window at the Cathedral. Please find more information about the project below. Click here to download the project brochure.
